READING GOALS
Our student reading goals are VERY important to the growth and development of stamina throughout the school year to become fluent and proficient readers in both informational and literary texts. Reading for pleasure also has many benefits including improvement in reading skills, empathy, and exploring interests and hobbies outside of school and the academic environment. Students work with our Media Center /LLC teacher to set and maintain reading goals for each quarter throughout the year. Parents can help foster a lifelong love of learning and support student reading goals in a variety or ways. Students can earn extra credit with approved content reading to extend their knowledge or read to learn which helps reinforce & enrich core class content. (See Google Classroom for specific extension credit information.)
